Cook the Book is this Wednesday, December 2! Sign up today!

If you love browsing cookbooks and trying new recipes, join us for a "cook group."
Visit the Reference Desk and peruse the cookbooks we have selected.  Choose a recipe and we will copy it for you.  Make the recipe at home and bring it to the library to share both the food and your thoughts about the recipe.  
Brand new and experienced cooks are welcome.

Join film expert and author, Irv Slifkin, for this month's feature:  The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming.

Directed by Norman Jewison.  With Alan Arkin, Eva Marie Saint, Carl Reiner, Brian Keith.  A Russian submarine accidentally is beached on a quiet Massachusetts island, causing all sorts of havoc for its oddball residents.  Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture, this sharply observed satire of Cold War relations showcases the cinematic debut of Arkin, who was nominated for the Oscar for Best Actor for his role as the Soviet sub skipper.
